The Things I Do is one of three songs we've recorded twice. If you've been with us since the early days, you'll know the original version appeared on the acoustic Starting Again EP in 2001. A couple of years later we recorded it again for the T&P album, but this version features drums (played with brushes), acoustic bass and an authentic, late 1800s pedal organ. The shuffle certainly changes the feel of the track and gives it a much more interesting and original vibe than the acoustic-guitar-only cut. There’s also a toy glockenspiel at the end of this version ... it was one of those rare 2am ideas that lasted til the final mix
