Another Kinematic song to feature Russia in the lyrics. This one is a favourite of Mark’s, it’s got a different rhythm to the standard Kinematic song, so he’s always keen to get it in the live set. Totally unrelated to the song, one of my favourite films is "My Life As A Dog"... there’s a bit in the film where the first dog that visited space is discussed. His name was Laika (Russian for "Barker"). Laika got blasted into space, but as Sputnik 2 was not designed to be retrievable, poor little Laika never returned. It made us wonder how the first cosmonauts must have felt!
